Camberley Auto Factors Signs Up to Business Advisor

Motor Factor sees key business reporting system as essential tool for information on trends and performance

May 30, 2006 – Camberley Auto Factors, one of the Uk’s largest independent motor factors,has become the first company to begin using Business Advisor, Activant Solutions’ new internet-based analytics tool.

Activant Business Advisor provides factors, retailers and suppliers operating in the UK aftermarket with a ‘realtime snapshot’ of key operational data within their business delivering critical management data to decision makers. Automated alerts and trend reporting gives a real competitive edge by allowing the user to anticipate issues rather than react to problems.

Camberley Auto Factors operates from 28 trading locations in the south of England, supplying parts across the South of England and has been a customer of Activant for 25 years. The addition of Business Advisor, compliments and extends their existing IT infrastructure, with Activant’s Ultimate management system running the day to day warehouse and branch operations.

Camberley’s Matthew Christmas explained the reasoning behind selecting Business Advisor: “When Business Advisor was launched, we were keen to take advantage of its capabilities to identify customer and product trends, sales gaps and monitoring customer purchasing trends, together with detailed analysis on our inventory.
