Front counter signature capture functionality in Activant Prophet 21 allows you to electronically capture signatures and link them to sales documents in the solution, giving you tighter control over your accounting, inventory, and order management processes.

Signature capture uses a simple, easy-to-install capture device that fully integrates with the Front Counter tab of Prophet 21's Order Entry module to instantly provide you with a permanent, irrefutable record of what left the warehouse, at what date, and with whom. When a customer comes in to pick up material at your front counter, the solution will require that the customer sign the capture device before printing the invoice and approving the transaction. Once captured, the signature can be applied to any subsequent pick tickets or invoices associated with the order.

Credit Cards Made Easy

When a credit card purchase is made at your front counter, the solution prompts the customer to sign the capture device, which will automatically upload the signature into your Prophet 21 solution. Once loaded into Prophet 21, the signature serves as a digital receipt, which can be printed for your customers' records, and kept in your system as proof that payment was received.

Seamless Integration, Immediate Convenience

Signature capture uses both LCD and non-LCD capture devices that easily connect to a USB or serial port on your front counter PC. Installation is as simple as plugging the capture device into the system, installing the software, and choosing the conditions under which a signature will be required. If your third-party, integrated credit card processing software is enabled, you will be able to use the same signature for invoices, pick tickets, packing lists, and credit card transactions. Signature capture allows you to customise the functionality to best fit your business needs.
