Trading Partner Connect enables manufacturers/suppliers to:

  • Conduct real-time transactions with distributors
  • Maintain item codes with item rationalisation
  • Provide real-time availability lookup
  • Exchange electronic business documents
  • Receive point-of-sale information
  • Update prices electronically
  • Automatically upload ship dates
  • Increase adoption rate of e-commerce initiatives
  • Streamline vendor managed inventory (VMI)

Trading Partner Connect lets you take orders directly into your business system, eliminating distributors’ complaints about having to use several different manufacturers’ proprietary extranets. All transactions completed via Trading Partner Connect are done in real time, meaning you get the most accurate information available, and a rationalised catalogue enables distributors to maintain their own item codes while ordering stock.

You can also exchange documents via the network, including purchase orders, acknowledgements, invoices, electronic funds transfers, and point-of-sale data. You better service distributors by automatically sending documents directly to their business systems thereby avoiding manual entry, reducing re-keying errors and eliminating Value Added Network (VAN) charges.

Trading Partner Connect also helps you better service your distributors by automatically uploading ship dates in their business systems, as opposed to having distributors call to expedite orders. You may also streamline pricing updates by automatically sending them to Trading Partner Connect members, preventing payable issues for price increases not enacted in a timely manner.
